All work, every vision, every innovations will certainly face adversities, contrary currents which opposes to its realization. Failure is the finger indicating the way to success, and stagnation is the consequence of the fact that you deny to learn from that failure, thus a ditch which influence the way to success.

46 and they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road side begging. 47 and when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus , you son of David, have mercy on me48 and many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, you son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calls you. 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, what will you that I should do to you? The blind man said unto him, Lord that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Marc 10

T

he 11 August 2011, I went on mission to Baham, a village in west Cameroon, the chief town of the Kong-khi departement. The journey was in the night and during the rainy season. And the west is famous for its mountains, hills and meandering road along the mountain (during the day you can see cars near the gap moving round the mountain). Around 4 Am, I was awakening by the hesitative humming of the car engine. When I opened my eyes I saw a thick fog which forced the driver to move slowly. I pertinently knew that I we were already on the mountains of the West and that my destination was found behind this thick fog, but I couldn’t exactly give our position.

4- Bartimaeus listened and resign himself: << And it came to pass that when he was near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road side begging:36and hearings the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.37and they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passed by. >> Luke 18:35-36. Your difficulties and failures should not preoccupy you till the point you lock your ears to all events taking place around you:

  • Do not let your problems make you deaf: God has a plan for you: an opportunity will present itself and you will benefit only when you know to recognize divine provision for your life. Then be attentive about what is going on around you. For opportunity got hairs just at its forehead, seize it when it comes, if not it will cross you and it shall be too late;
  •  Be opened to the world for it’s your opening that will permit you to be aware of new opportunities; though blind and beggar, Bartimaeus kept contact with his surrounding and search for information concerning all that was going on around him.

Your situation should not make you complex: have the joy to live and the courage to express yourself;

  • Know how to discern the right opportunity, the right moment to get to the search of a new objective.

5- Bartimaeus persevered in spite of the crowds adversities: the crowd and people having the same opportunity like you, will try to discourage you, they will rebuke you and will try to disqualify you. At a certain moment, the objectives you have set might be impossible to achieve; but as Bartimaeus, double your effort, cry out louder, multiply strategies. Yes in all that we live daily, there are efforts to be made, and efforts are the only measures of results;  Bartimaeus have proved it, Florence Chadwick have demonstrated it and the bus driver taking me to Baham have confirmed it. The fog will always be there, it will get thicker as you move closer towards the goal; but never forget your goal is behind the fog of difficulties and adversities.

6- Bartimaeus did not get congested with his garment and with a leap he rose to receive his miracle, for he have seen it. If your passionate by the objective you follow, it will attract and lead you further; yes<< the blind threw his garment, and, with a leap rose up, came towards Jesus.>> His passion and great desire to change his status made him to go towards Jesus though blind. His blindness did not prevent him from knowing Christ’s position, the bearer of the solution to his need. Be passionate by your objective, lift up your objective in your spirit and make it the ideal in your heart. If your vision is an ideal, then it is the substance of things hoped for and because you value it, you will overcome yourself to achieve it and God will reward your faith.

Be prompt to get rid of all that is superfluous in your passed life and which hinder you to move freely towards your objective: sin, vain associations, no interest distractions, waste of time etc. Bartimaeus knew that the garment will be of no use to him again for he will see himself begging under the rain and sun.

Together let’s confess: I declare with a loud voice: nothing nor anyone will stand on my way. Harsh is the test stronger is my faith. Am passionate by God’s vision for my life, I refuse to be discouraged for I know that my efforts will determine the quality of my results and my faith make God to change my status. Amen !

Do not forget:  Grow highly in another dimension of anointing for the body and the world awaits the manifestation of the giant slumbering in you. You’re blessed and the best is still to come!
