Suffering to comfort’(Part 1)

I won’t lie to you:  God knows everything but he still lives you to go via these humiliating situations, unpleasant, wounding and frustrating that he would have spared you from.

Blessed be God, the God of all comfort; 4 who comforts us all in our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we  ourselves are comforted of God.6  And whether we be afflicted , it is for your consolation and salvation, or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.7 and our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as your partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation. 2 CORINTHIANS 1

lore is a young lady whom I have converted to Christ when I was still on benches in school, in the secondary school. After my baccalaureates I loosed her of view and I met her few years later.  She narrated her mishap: she has been raped, her family moved apart, her mother imprisoned for an offense and she failed her exams so many times. And she asked me the question why me? Why did God permit all this why am his child? If God loved me he would have not let me go through all this. I felt shacked!

God knows every thing in advance and knew the path through which Flore will pass and he could have spared her from that; but he wants it that way. God knew that you will be born in a family thorn apart, he knew that you will be born in the third world, he knew that you will loose your job that your land lord will send you out, that your wife will leave you, that your only begotten son will die. God knew it but he did nothing! He knows the mockeries you receive via out the day but still yet your status remains the same. I won’t lie to you:  God knows everything but he still lives you to go via these humiliating situations, unpleasant, wounding and frustrating that he would have spared you from. Before you knew to say “mummy” your life was rude and unpleasant.

I want to tell you this week:

·         You’re the most qualified to go via the situation you experience or have experienced, for God says: “knowing, that as your partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation”. The portion of sufferings you have is equivalent to the consolation God has reserved for you. 

·         You are God’s solution to someone’s need, you’re an answer to a question, and that’s why you go via humiliating situations and think your disadvantaged by life. “ if we are afflicted its for your consolation”;

·         The difficulties you encounter daily determine the type of difficulties you will encounter in the life of those who will have you as a model. I had no experience of rape so I could say nothing concrete about Flore’s situation, talk less of feeling the pain she had within her, for I have never been raped. But Flore will be a powerful instrument for the restoration of raped persons; for she knows the pain rape can produce.
